Sheffield · phone answered 24/7
A leak you can hear but can’t find. A boiler that’s given up in February. A shower upstairs that’s never been more than a dribble. We fix the emergencies — and we fit the bathrooms and boilers people plan for months.
Tell us the basics and we’ll come straight back with a price.
What we do
Same plumbers whether it’s a ten minute fix or a week-long refit. This is what Sheffield rings us about most.
Burst pipes, a joint that’s let go, water coming through a ceiling. We answer the phone at any hour.
Repairs, servicing and full installs — combi, system or heat-only, plus unvented cylinders.
Full bathrooms fitted properly, from ripping out the old suite to sealing the last edge.
Sheffield’s hills play havoc with pressure. Weak showers upstairs are usually fixable.
New rads, designer panels, moved pipework and systems that finally heat the back bedroom.
Slow sinks, standing showers and blocked loos cleared without wrecking your pipework.
We pick the phone up at three in the morning the same as three in the afternoon. No answerphone, no waiting for Monday.
Why people ring us back
Most people ring a plumber because something’s gone wrong and they feel out of control of it. The fix for that isn’t patter — it’s turning up, explaining what’s actually happening, and leaving the place clean.

Reviews
Reproduced word for word from customer reviews of Plumber To The Rescue — nothing rewritten, nothing tidied up.
The plumber fixed a leaking trap and shut-off valve underneath my kitchen sink. It was an emergency job and he came straight away at 21:00 in the evening. He was prompt in attending my call and offered a professional service at a fair price. We will definitely be calling plumber to the rescue back again to assist with the installation of our dishwasher.
Had a great experience and would 100% recommend! We had a leak in our washer and a previous leak under the bathroom sink. The team was able to address both issues and also caught a small leak in our washer hose that could have caused problems later. You can tell they put a lot of honesty and care into their work. We’ve had our fair share of bad plumber experiences, but with them, we really appreciated how we were shown the root of each problem and kept informed throughout. They also made sure to test everything multiple times to ensure the issues were fully resolved.
Perfect professional service when my boiler was working fitted a new one the next day great price

Areas covered
Sheffield is built on seven hills and it shows in the plumbing. Pressure that drops off on the high side of the city, gravity systems in the older stone terraces, and modern combis in the new builds down the valley. We work across the lot.

FAQs
The things people ask before they book. If yours isn’t here, just ring and ask.
Yes. Days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Burst pipes don’t keep office hours, and neither does the phone line.
It depends where you are and what we’re already on — getting from Stocksbridge to Mosborough in rush hour is a different proposition to a job two streets away. Ring 0114 463 0244 and we’ll tell you honestly how soon we can be there rather than leaving you guessing.
Yes. Any gas work — boiler repairs, replacements, servicing and gas connections — is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Ask to see the card when we arrive.
Very common in Sheffield, especially on the high side of the city and in older properties. It might be an old gravity-fed system, a partially closed valve, furred-up pipework or genuinely low incoming mains pressure. Each has a different fix and different cost, so it’s worth having it diagnosed rather than guessed at.
Yes. We look at the job, explain what needs doing and give you a price before any spanners come out. If something unexpected turns up mid-job, we stop and talk to you first.
If water is escaping, turn the stopcock off — usually under the kitchen sink or in a downstairs cupboard. Turn the heating off if the leak is on a heating pipe. If water is anywhere near electrics, switch that circuit off at the consumer unit if it’s safe. Then ring and we’ll talk you through the rest.
We cover every S postcode — city centre, Hillsborough, Crookes, Ecclesall, Woodseats, Handsworth, Chapeltown, Stocksbridge, Mosborough and everywhere between. If you’re on the edge of the city, ring and ask.
Both. A good chunk of our work is full bathroom installations — freestanding baths, walk-in showers, vanity units, cloakrooms and all the pipework behind them. Have a look at our work page.
Yes — combi, system and heat-only, plus unvented cylinders where a property needs stored hot water. In a big old Sheffield house with three bathrooms, a combi is often the wrong answer, and we’ll say so rather than fit the easiest thing.
Yes. We clear the blockage, then check why it happened — a bad fall on a waste run or a collapsed trap will keep blocking however many times it’s plunged.
